Guatemala: Steps to import
To import products to Guatemala, the following points must be considered:
- Request for Importer Code via: https://app.vai.gt/seadim#/home/solicitud-codigo-importador/
- Have a Tax Identification Number (NIT).
- Have at least one business that is affiliated with taxes and a commercial patent specifying that it is dedicated to importing.
- Fill out form SAT-101 via BancaSAT
- Processing of customs documents
- Commercial invoice issued by seller
- Cargo manifest including quantity and number of products
- Certificate of origin
