Free Trade Agreements with other Countries Currently, Guatemala has ratified the following FTAs:
- Dominican Republic Central America Free Trade Agreement (DR-CAFTA)
- Central American Common Market (CACM)
- Association Agreement Central America – European Union
- FTA with Chile
- FTA with Colombia
- FTA with the US
- FTA with Panama
- FTA with the Dominican Republic
- FTA with Taiwan
- FTA Central America – Mexico
The implementation of the customs union with El Salvador and Honduras should enter into force before the end of this year and allow free trade of 80% of the goods between these countries. It will be the first complete customs union on the American continent, facilitating trade between countries and providing new business opportunities.
